1. After paying close attention to the details in movies, such as how the camera is angled to give the audience a different perspective, the different aspects of reflexivity and just being able to interpret certain details differently allows me to look at movies in a different way than any person who hasn’t taken the class. Last night I watched Atonement which was amazing and I kept analyzing the movie and thought in a different way than I normally would have. The cinematogrophy was very different than any other movie I’ve ever seen and I just kept thinking about our class.
2.While doing my final, I was able to realize the different photographs and the differences between them. Throughout class we discussed the meaning behind different photos, learned how to interpret them in other ways that you normally wouldn’t and figured out the truth behind them; if they were original, what characteristics they had such as photographic truth, if they were postmodernism, among other things. Now I have the ability and knowledge to seperate certain images that I may see somewhere, even in a magazine I may be reading.
3.Lastly, I enjoyed being able to work on the computers. We were able to create our ideal dorm rooms and some people went further. Being able to learn how all of those programs work is really beneficial to all of us because as technology advances its important to understand how they work. Chances are, we’ll be working with them in our future jobs. It’s not only just an assignment either. I found it fun and enjoyable, at least when I understood how to do different tasks. All in all, it was an experience working with the programs to create our haikus and ideal rooms.

According to the textbook, Glamour is best described by creating a fantasy world where every ones bodies are ideal and consumers lifestyles are perfect but only because they have purchased a certain product that will allegedly make their reality become glamorized. Advertisers trick their consumers into thinking that if they purchase the product they are trying to sell, they too will have an amazing and glamorous life.
In the movie that we viewed in class, glamour was represented in various ways. The main character, Richard E. Grant has a leisurely lifestyle, living the dream of an advertising executive. He has a nice house with a beautiful wife. Sometimes that may not always be the case with someone who is highly respected or with someone who holds a high position in a company. Also, he is trying to glamorize a product that isn’t really glamorous at all.

To me, a hero has many different characteristics but above all they need to be inspirational. Even if they are ordinary people, as long as they have done something or have changed something for the better I would consider them a hero.
On TV these days, its hard to find a real hero. I personally could see someone who gets up every morning, does what they have to do and to their best ability is able to accomplish their daily goals. For some reason, I thought of famous TV news anchors as being heroes. The image of a TV news anchor describing to the whole nation what had happened the morning of 9/11 popped into my head. They were brave, kept their composure during one of the most horrific times in history and were still able to relay the news to the rest of the Americans.
